Allied Schools Graz
On May 15^th 1955 the four allied states, Russia (former Union of Socialist Soviet Republics), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America and France signed the Austrian Independency Treaty with Austria to re-establish Austria as an independent and democratic republic. To mark this anniversary as well as two others, the end of World War II in 1945 and Austria's EU membership since 1995, the City of Graz has inaugurated the school project www.as-graz.org. This project links four high schools in Graz to their respective partner schools in the four signatary states through a Wiki-platform. It enables the schools to exchange information and cooperate in cross-curricular projects. The Wiki systems provides a platform for efficient communication across borders and is intended to develop into an online forum for student communication, both in and out of school.
