Allied Schools Graz
On May 15^th1955 the four allied states, Russia (former Union of Socialist Soviet Republics), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States Of America and France on the one hand and Austria on the other hand signed the Austrian Independency Treaty to re-establish Austria as an independent and democratic republic.
To the 50^th anniversary of this signing, as well as in memory of the end of World War II 60 years ago and the joining of Austria to the EC 10 years ago, the projekt <www.as-graz.org> was founded under the patronage of the City of Graz.
For this purpose, four schools in Graz will be connected with a Wiki-platform to respectivily one partnerschool in each signatory to the treaty. Thereby education-projects will be interchanged or elaborated by the students over all borders. The Wiki-System enables an effective, interdisciplinary and project-oriented cooperation and is also able to build a virtual place of getting-together for the students in their leisure time.
