Two chronicles, researched by Teresa Rath

I got two chronicles of the war from my grandfather. One is about himself and the other one about his already deceased brother. It contains the difficult situations in the war and it´s like a public apology.

My grandfather went to war in September 1939 in Poland where he got a training as a soldier. He also was sent to Norway and Russia. In 1942 he came back to Germany and in 1943 he was wounded in a battle. After his recovery he was sent back to the battlefield and he only was allowed to come back after the breakdown of the front in Italy. Today it´s really difficult for him to speak about this time.

His brother went to war in 1941. After many missions in war he died in 1943 in Tunesia where he is buried.
